3 Easy Exercises to Strengthen Your Clairvoyance

Clairvoyance – which means ‘clear seeing’ – is the ability to receive visual impressions from the spirit world in your mind’s eye.

Sometimes beginner mediums expect to see clairvoyant images at the back of their eyelids. They think that when they close their eyes and look at the blackness with their physical eyes, images/pictures/symbols should appear there.

Unfortunately, that isn’t really how it works!
Although that can happen sometimes, clairvoyant impressions will usually come through more subjectively through your third eye in a way that is similar to a daydream.

Here’s an example:
Think of an apple.

Picture it in your imagination.

.. do you see it?
That is exactly how clairvoyant images will float in.

You can strengthen your clairvoyant muscles by spending time visualizing objects, people, and places. The more details you can imagine, the better it is for expanding your clairvoyant abilities!
Here are 3 exercises to help you do that.


EXERCISE 1:

Find a quiet place where you can sit down with a magazine.
Flip through it and when you come across a picture, stop and imagine what it would be like if the spirit world were to give you this image.
For example, if the image is a bicycle.. I want you to fully imagine the bicycle in as much detail as possible. What does it look like? What colour is it? Are there any decals on the side? What do the handlebars look like? What does the seat of the bike look like? Does the bike look brand new or worn down? Go as deep as you can.


EXERCISE 2:

In this exercise, I want you to close your eyes and picture your loved one’s face. View their face in as much detail as possible. Visualize their eyes as if you are looking at them in person. What colour are they? What shape are they? How do they look when they squint?
Next, move onto their nose. What shape is their nose? Are there any freckles?
Then, visualize their lips. What do they look like? How does the look of them change when the person smiles?
Try to visualize them expressing different emotions – happiness, sadness, anger, inspiration, excitement.

Bonus: you can record your observations and compare them to real life the next time you see them.


EXERCISE 3:

For this exercise you’ll need a partner because you’ll be practicing sending and receiving clairvoyant images to each other.

I find this exercise is best if you use oracle or tarot cards, as they are really fun to work with and offer a wider range of images, objects, and colours that can come through! If you don’t have any oracle or tarot cards, you can use regular playing cards or flash cards.

To begin you’ll each choose a card (without showing the other person) and then sit facing each other.
Decide who will be sending the image first, and who will be receiving.
Both of you will get into a relaxed state and when you’re ready, the person who is sending the image will look at their card and focus on sending a strong visual image to the other person.
The person receiving the image will simply stay relaxed and allow the visual impressions to come to them. As the receiver, there is no need to think or strain trying to reach for information. Just stay in your relaxed state and allow yourself to receive.
You might not receive the whole image, but you may start seeing green, or know that it has earthly elements to it. Make note of everything you receive so you can compare when you are all done.
Then, switch with your partner and try the other way!
